Located just outside of Birmingham, AL, the Five Mile Creek Greenway is one of Alabama's historic Rails to Trails courses with stunning natural beauty and shaded and wooded trails.
Each mile is an opportunity to press on—building discipline, endurance, and resilience—reflecting the essential characteristics of leading well.

We strongly encourage runners to pick up their packet on Friday to avoid race morning delays.
- 7:00 a.m. — Half Marathon
- 7:15 a.m. — 10K
- 7:15 a.m. — 5K
All runners are encouraged to arrive at least one hour prior to their race start.

Expo - April 10 (Friday)
Visitor parking is available in the parking garage at 3660 Grandview Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35243. Signage will direct you to the Forum on campus, where the expo will be held.
Race Day - April 11 (Saturday)
On-site parking at Black Creek Park is limited.
We strongly encourage all runners and spectators to utilize the complimentary shuttle service from:

Shuttles will run continuously every 10 minutes beginning at 5:30 a.m. This will be the smoothest and most reliable way to access the race.
Parking is limited, but available at Black Creek Park, 749 Yarbrough Rd, Fultondale, AL 35068.
Yes. The Half Marathon has a 4-hour course time limit (approximately 18-minute mile pace). This ensures road safety and volunteer coverage.
The 5K welcomes both runners and walkers.
The 10K is open to runners and experienced walkers.
The finish line experience includes:
- Finisher medals
- Post-race snacks and hydration
- Music and emcee celebration
- Vendor area
- Photo opportunities
We encourage runners and families to stay after their race and enjoy the atmosphere.
All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The race will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, updates will be communicated via email and social media.
Strollers are welcome to remain behind the barriers with spectators, but are not permitted on the race courses. Pets are also allowed behind the barriers, but not on the race courses.
Headphones are permitted, but runners must remain alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.
Hotel accommodations are not provided. The race location is conveniently situated near hotels, dining, and shopping throughout the Birmingham area.
